Dear Members, Field Trialers and Friends of the SAFTC.
You are all cordially invited to this year’s ClubTrials which are to be held at Verloren Valei Nature Reserve S25˚ 18’ 00” E 30˚ 06’54” close to Dullstroom in Mpumalanga from 26th to 28th July 2018. Everyone, member or non-member alike, who has an interest in pointing dogs or setters is welcome. The reserve is 15km from Dullstroom. Travelling on the R540 towards Lydenburg, take the gravel road to the left 6km from Dullstroom (sign board says “ De Berg”). The main entrance to the reserve is about 9Km down the dirt road on the left.
The dates are:-
Derby and Maiden Stakes starting on Thursday the 26th and half day on 27th of July 2018 (ending at 12 noon)
Open/Championship Stakes starting on Friday the 27th at 2.00pm and concluding on Saturday the 28th of July.

Closing Date:- For the Derby , Maiden and Open/ Championship Stakes is 13th July. Late entries cannot be included in the programme.
Trial Headquarters & Accommodation:-
Elandskloof Trout Farm near Dullstroom (See website for directions: www.elandskloof.co.za)
Limited accommodation is being held for the club so book early to avoid disappointment. Payment of the total on your booking form is required to secure booking

Note that:
Dogs are welcome but not allowed on the beds
The Club will be responsible for any damage to the units.
Elandskloof now charge for the DOGS’ accommodation at R100 per dog for the weekend.
Meals:-
Breakfast – make your own (accommodation is self-catering)
Lunch – bring your own picnic lunches – we will eat on the lawn outside the Verloren Valei office as usual
Dinner – Thursday and Friday – self- catering. Braai facilities are available at Elandskloof.
Prize Giving and Dinner on Saturday evening 28th July to be at Elandskloof. (Elandskloof booking form attached)
Roll call, starting times & designated parking areas at Verloren Valei:-
Assembly, roll call and the day’s draw will be at 7.30 am, daily and at 2.00 pm on Friday the 27th of June at the Verloren Valei offices 1 km from the reserve entrance.
Parking at the Reserve must be in designated areas only (see map attached). There are now strict rules in place with regard to where vehicles may go and where vehicles may park in the Reserve. Mike Zingel will act as the liaison with the Verloren Valei Management.
